Mermaid Board Book! Digi's with Attitude! #15

Challenge #15

Use Digi People!
As long your project has a digi person
you are good to go!
 See our challenge guidelines here

So this week at Digi's with Attitude! we released the Mermaid Tween which I so totally  love. I just had to make a project for my Little niece who is a little mermaid in her own right ;D
My sister (The little mermaid's Mommy) has done her room up  in  mermaids
& last year I made a cute frame for her... I have worked on another album since (still not completed) & Now this! It is going to be a counting / number book! =D I  might even laminate it to make it live longer.

It looks alot better in  person  but I couldn't get a good  picture of the sheen of the papers... they are that  peralized looking paper and looks really neat, it's not completed yet but I love the cover so far...
I am going to add a title (still working on one Any Suggestions)
& adding  more stickles to the diecuts... Oh !
I will also be adding more ribbons and such to the  rings...

the diecuts are from  the Cricut cartridge Spongebob Squarepants
( bubbles, seaweed, jellyfish)

I colored my mermaid with  copic & prisma markers
the added stickles.
I also added some pretty  jewles to the sea weed! LOL... Glam it up right?
=D

Anyway since I had the cartridge I wanted to  make some of the decorations.
Here is some of what I made...

The Spongebob Squarepants centerpiece... was a lot of work but fun
I have some close ups and will add those in a new post later ... I am breaking up the centerpiece for a new project for the playroom.

I had a couple of these jelly fish hanging around...
never did hang the bubbles I made...

Cricut Design Studio Word/Shape Book

Last night I started to work on a word/shape book in the Cricut Design Studio Program.
I  really love it  because its pretty easy to use and I can make some fantastic things...
I would love to get the SCAL program and a drawing tablet so I could design my own stuff  eventually but for now this is great.
Anyway here is a screenshot of the album I am working on ... mind you  some things pictured ( like the waves) will go on one of the pages and not where it is pictured... this is a few of the layers that I didn't uncheck when I did my preview.
Anywho...
I am going to cut this out to see what it looks like and if I need to make some adjustments to it.  Hopefully I will post some pictures of what I end up with  soon!

Cartridge Details:
A Childs Year, Everyday Paper Dolls, Plantin School Book

Everyday paper Dolls ( Cricut )

The Paper Dolls Dress up Cartridge is one of My favorite Cartridges.
It really has so many extras that  you would never know were there until you  opened the box... or had the Design Studio Program ( trial or actual) . I recently Bought the Everyday paper dolls and it has somethng for everyone on it as well.
Anyway ...
I made this set of Paper Dolls for Griffin's class bulletin board when he was the Star of the week.
I cut everything out in white cardstock and colored in with the Prisma markers drew the faces in myself.  I used chalks to color in the eyes and to give the cheeks  a bit of a glow.
The comic book style word bubbles with our names in them are Stampin' Up.
Thanks for looking !

Black Friday Cricut Deals ! Whoo Hoo!

Well You all have to know by now that I am in love with my Cricut Expression. It seriously is one of the best Scrapbooking tools I have ever bought.

With that said this Friday's black friday deal at walmart for the new colored Expression was to good to pass up! I got the very last one they had at my local store and it was Black! If it had been any of the other colors I would have passed on it. But it was Black! One of my favorite colors and it will look super in my craft room... =D The new Cartridge Serenade came with it and I was excited about it but once I looked it over I decided to either try to trade or sell it. I found a great person to trade with and I will get Pagoda and From my Kitchen for it ! YAY! I am super excited about it.

I also went to M's and picked up a few new carts ( Everyday Paperdolls & Winter Woodland). I also traded 2 carts back to Hobby Lobbythat I had bought previously that I decided that I wouldn't use and got ( A Child's Year & Animal Kingdom). Over all a great Cricut day and that's not to mention the other deals I got! That is a different post!

Super Cute Tags

Why didn't someone warn me that making Tags could be Addictive! I love the Holiday ones I just made but out of all the tags I have made recently I would have to say that this cupcake tag is my Favorite by far! Up close you can see that I used seed beads, some micro glass beads and such to give it a sprinkled effect. I used Inkssentials Glossy accents to make it all stick together.

I also made this Halloween Inspired tag ...

and a few Misc Tags for Birthday's and a Spring one just so I could use the Stamps! I made these for a wonderful Gal for a swap so I sure hope she will enjoy !

Cricut & other things I LOVE...

There are so many Cricut cartridges out or coming out that I want. Winter Wonderland , Stand and Salute, From my Kitchen, Everyday Paperdolls, are just a few of the new ones that just came out that I want Oh, and lest I forget the ones that have been out for awhile that I want.. or the ones that will be coming out that I want. LOL... Not to mention, ( OK I will mention it) the Newest Gadget that would be great to have, The Gypsy... A portable design studio ...Ahhh .

What can I say I love my Cricut machine and I use it alot... it has been the best tool that I have bought for my scrapbooking so far... I want to eventually buy all the add ons and extras that they have come out with and will come out with in the future.

I am also totally addicted to stamps and I found the most kick ass stamps from some online friends from scrapbooking & crafting friends @ Ning . The company that has the kick ass stamps is called Bombshell Stamps and they are so freakin' wonderful! I would use these all the time if I had any ... LOL. Check them out I don't think you will be disappointed!

I also came across a Garage sale the other day where the lady was selling unmounted stamps for 10cents! Needless to say I bought all that I liked for just under $15.00! I have already used a bunch of them and I love them... I bought all the food, animals, fairy, toys and woods/tree stamps that she had plus a few odd ball ones like a alien in a flying saucer that looks like a paper airplane.. LOL adorable and perfect for a boy page.

I Love Stickles... A woman at a crop I went to turned me onto them a while ago and I loved them right away, I really love the way thay can add a more finished look to a project and they have so many colors. I love all of the clear ones the most Stardust, diamond, ect... they can be used for so many things you really get alot of bang for your buck when you use them beacause they take on the color of the paper under the stickle glitter. When dried it's really great looking. Once I had used them a few times I had to go and buy some more and this time the colored ones! I bought the halloween pack with the black, purple and orange and the christmas colored one red, green & a stardust, and for good measure I bought the pastel one that had pink lavender and a different clear one. So I am set ... umm. . . Well at least until I need some of the other colors...
Muahahahahaha......Brad is gonna Kill me ... ;P

And lets not get started on Paper.... it all so pretty! I use alot of paper either with the Cricut or just in layering multiple papers fo my Layouts. I could never have enough paper!

I could go on and on about my Favorite Scrapbooking things... but for now I will say goodbye! Look for my next post to find out more of my favorite Products and what I really want to try.
