Rory turns 2 & a Guy Valentine's Day card!

Good Morning!

Today is Rory's 2nd  Birthday so we are heading to Chucky Cheese

 for some lunch & lots of fun later.

He already received his gifts from Mommy, Daddy & Griffin which he is very excited about...

He received a Cars (Lighting McQueen) ride on , 2 sets of the Disney cars die cast,

& a Little Tikes Car bed!

I have been  busy working at  my desk making lots of special cards

& one of them is this one for valentine's day for a guy...

I don't know about you but Guy cards are kinda harder for me to  do because (most) guys

don't want a frufru girly glittery floral kind of card... LOL

Soooo I went for a Clean and simple style card  made with

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff  Posh' N Trendy digital stamp set.

it's only $5.00! and has some really cute images on it.

I hand wrote the sentiment.. ( yes I know I  need to work on  my Penmanship! LOL) ,

colored with Prisma pencils, & added some stickles to the corners to add a tiny but of embellishment.

Our Challenge this week is Halloween Colors and we have an Inspiration photo you can find that a bit lower.. =D

Mygrafico Challenge #59

The weeks Challenge is all about the Glitz ...

Glitz it Up!

That means anything Girly, Glittery, Jewels, pearls, Metallic, shiny , ect... goes!

if you think it's glitzy the go for it!

The set we worked with & also this weeks Prize is the

Slumber Party Stamp set By Zenware Designs .

and is perfect for any Glamour Girl, Princess,or diva...

young and old alike.

This set could be also used for guys or gender neutral projects..

after all a Sleeping Bag, Bowl of Popcorn, Pillow,

Teddy Bear heck even a Telephone... aren't only for girls.

So it's pretty versatile set .

Seeeeeeee! I told ya it was fabulous! =D

 Now what  did I make you wonder....

Well I made a few things... =P

 

First My Glitzy Card

Colored in with Copic & Prisma Markers,  Misc Scrap papers( one of which is a metallic Pearl pink) , and a Sentiment from TLC Creations.

Used stickles on the hair bows and the slippers... used lots of rhinestones, and even some metallic rainbow pastel colored rick rack....

Next I made a totally different card... ( not glitz at all but still wanted to share)

Colored with my copic markers, Found the sentiment at TLC Creations & Knew that this popcorn bowl Stamp would work well with it.

Made some movie tickets... used the Cornice Edge punch by Martha Stewart and misc scrap paper

Next I made

LOL ... I just love the sentiment... once again  from TLC Creations... Colored with my copic markers added some ribbon & flowers (from different garage sales), all the paper was Scrap except the Kraft, & Lastly used my corner rounder  for all my edges.

I love embossing, don't you ?

Earlier this year I went a little nuts (OK OK I went a bit OCD) & bought a bunch of the embossing folders

& a cuttlebug... & a Martha Stewart Heat tool & a bunch of the embossing powders..=D

How fun! I make lots of messes but what can I say at least I'm creative!

and Sentiment by Stampin' Up! Soft & Sweet set

Pearls pearls pearls.... I love pearls... =D 

I added a strip of pearls to the ribbon on the side

then to the corners to soften and the clothes pins are "pearl" .

Liquid Pearls, Stickles, Lace and the 3 layered Paper piecing... white pink and green.

Close up side view... I made  a popped up layer

& then added the lace between.
